The geological history of the Park and the Saènt waterfalls
The path starts at the Ramoni al Còler car-park. Follow the little road on the left-hand side of the torrent Rabbiés upstream. Then cross the foot-bridge by the debris that came down with the Campisòl stream landslide on 20 September, 1999. Continue towards Malga Stablasolo and take CAI-SAT path no. 106 that will take you to the Information Centre Stablét. There is a small resting area on its panoramic terrace (Plan de le Scalace). You then leave path 106 and walk down the path leading to the Saènt Waterfall, the most spectacular waterfall in Stelvio National Park. Actually, there are two waterfalls that make this part of the Rabbiés stream particularly beautiful, and which can be seen from a close distance: one from a wooden bridge just below the waterfall, and the other from several panoramic viewing points along the path. This circular itinerary ends with the path following the stream until it reaches Stablasolo Bridge, from where you return to the car-park.
