The woodpecker path
In our Park there are five species of woodpeckers
The trail, located above the village of Peio, is a short loop that follows a track along a forest road surrounded by a larch forest. The foodpath starts just after the small football field, near the Austrian-Hungarian Cemetery, on the hill of San Rocco and proceeds to the location Valasiccia.
This easy access path, as a charming walk in the forest, makes the way feasible to anyone, without special equipment recommended for hiking.
By reading some informative panels along the short naturalist trail, visitors will discover a fascinating and mysterious group of birds that inhabit the forest areas of the park: the woodpeckers.
