Walk to see animals

This walk is a circular itinerary, giving you the opportunity to observe typical alpine animals in their summer habitat. In the bowl-shaped Piana Valley, it is very easy to watch red deer and chamois. You are, however, advised to get there at dawn or dusk, which are the animals’ principal feeding times, to walk in absolute silence and to avoid being seen. There are no tall trees in this area, and the animals do not tolerate the sight and presence of disturbing factors for any length of time. With a bit of patience, silence and a good pair of binoculars, you may, however, enjoy the unforgettable sight of groups of numerous red deer browsing there in the early morning or late afternoon.
